Setting your price
QuokkaGuide uses a set of fixed price tiers, from $4.99 to $29.99 AUD. You choose the tier that fits your tour. When pricing, consider:
- Length and depth — a rich, multi-hour tour can justify a higher tier than a short one.
- Comparable tours — see what similar tours in the area charge.
- Your goal — a lower price can help a new creator build plays and reviews early on.
You can adjust your price tier later as you learn what converts.
The review process
Submitting sends your tour through QuokkaGuide's review workflow:
- In review — our team checks your tour against the content guidelines.
- In testing — the tour is checked in the app to confirm it works on the road.
- Approved — once it passes, it goes live on the marketplace and is ready to sell.
If something needs changing, you'll get feedback so you can fix it and resubmit.
Content guidelines (the essentials)
To pass review, your tour should:
- Be accurate — verified facts, dates, and history (especially local and Indigenous history).
- Be original — your own work, not copied from another source.
- Stay safe and respectful — no directions that put travellers at risk; no offensive content.
- Work end to end — audio triggers correctly and the tour plays offline. See Testing Before You Publish.
After it's published
- Your tour appears on the marketplace and on your public creator profile.
- You can keep editing and regenerate individual pieces as things change (new opening hours, a venue that closed). Keep your tour current — it protects your reviews.
- Travellers who buy your tour can leave a rating and review; strong reviews lift your tour in discovery.
